Personal Toolkits

Personal Toolkits for Final Project

I would like to submit a Reporting-based project that’s a long form video. It will deal with news versus entertainment stories in the daily news cycle. Some say Americans care more about, Psy the YouTube sensation, Lindsay Lohan and Honey Boo Boo more than they do current events in the U.S. and across the world like the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the civil war in Syria or the latest with the fiscal cliff in Washington, D.C.

No doubt the headlines will come and go but it’s our fascination with news about reality TV stars and troubled entertainers that seems to show no sign of slowing down. I will research broadcast TV stations and websites to monitor trends in coverage.

Here’s a look at the collection of tools and services I anticipate using to complete my final project.
